Game Story

Metin2 is a free MMORPG developed by Ymir Entertainment and published in Romania by Gameforge 4D GmbH.

Webzen acquired Ymir Entertainment on January 26, 2011, and owned Metin2 and Metin games.

The game consists of the struggle for supremacy of the three enemy kingdoms. Although they once formed a single prosperous kingdom, following the spontaneous appearance of the metin stones, they split and are at war with each other.

Once registered, the player will choose his kingdom and the character he will play with.

Initially, the selected character will be in a location called colloquially by players "map1" of the chosen kingdom. The player will have to face various monsters whose power gradually increases to accumulate experience, the points are necessary for levelling up, items/equipment and yang (one of the exchangeable currencies of the game).

Short history

In 2004, the first alpha version was released exclusively for North Korea.

Finally, the beta version was released in 2005. The first major update was published seven years after the opening game.

Thanks to Rain, who published the game files, more private servers began to appear, the official ones losing more and more players.
